Registration for our meetings is simple. To register for a meeting, simply select the desired meeting from our PROGRAM SCHEDULE and click on the Program Title, enter your information and submit your form. IF APPLICABLE, you will then pay the $30 meeting fee at the door when you arrive, or you can use VENMO to pay $25 electronically (using the mobile VENMO app, search Waukesha Area Safety Council) That's it!

We highly suggest that you add your name to our mailing list to be notified of monthly meetings. There is NO OBLIGATION to attend any meetings, being on the mailing list will simply provide you with the sign up reminders & links. If you change your mind,  just "unsubscribe."  We do not sell or share your email information with others. 

Meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of the month, September through May.

Regular meeting times* are as follows:

11:30am – 12:00pm - Registration and Networking (registration closes at noon)

12:00pm – 12:30pm - Lunch

12:30pm – 1:30pm -   Speaker Presentation

Please note, that special events may have different times and may or may not include your meal.

Cost for In-Person Meetings: $30 per meeting at the door, $25 per meeting if paid ahead unless otherwise noted. (Cash or Check to WASC or use VENMO to pay it electronically (using the mobile VENMO app, search Waukesha Area Safety Council.) The meeting fee includes presentation materials as provided, as well as an unlimited soup/salad bar & beverage. Show your payment confirmation at the door, or pay in cash/check when you arrive. Receipts are available at the door, just pick one up.

September 10, 2025 (MMA) – Mental Health First Aid – Please join Courtney Patt, Health Management Consulting Manager, Marsh McLennan Agency, will present on mental health in the workplace and mental health first aid.  This event will take place at MMA’s office building, lower-level conference room

In this session, we will address the growing risks and liabilities associated with distracted driving, with a focus on both personal and commercial vehicle use. We’ll review the latest statistics and trends, outline the most common sources of distraction behind the wheel, and discuss the regulatory landscape employers need to be aware of. In addition, we’ll highlight the direct impact distracted driving has on safety performance, insurance costs, and organizational liability. Finally, we’ll provide best practices, policies, and practical strategies that members can take back to their organizations to help reduce incidents, strengthen compliance, and foster a culture of safe driving.

December 10, 2025 – WASC Holiday Social at New Berlin Ale House – Come and meet fellow WASC members, network and enjoy holiday cheer. This event will begin at 3:00 PM. In keeping with our annual tradition, this will be a free event with the donation of a toy for our annual holiday Toys for Tots campaign.

January 14, 2026 (ACR) – Legal Update – Charles Palmer, Practice Leader - Workplace Safety and Health, Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, will address cases involving OSHA, employment law, labor negotiations, independent contractors, and joint employment matters. Join us as we include both of our friends from the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and the Greater Milwaukee Safety Council (GMSC).

February 11, 2026 (MMA) – OSHA Update with Milwaukee Area OSHA Office – Luis Ramos-Morales, Compliance Officer, Milwaukee Area OSHA Office, will provide us with an update on the latest in OSHA legislation impacting many industries and cover the NEPs impacting Wisconsin.

April 9, 2025 (MMA) – Heat Stress -

Join Bethany McCurdy, Partner, Michael Best & Friedrich LLP to discuss one of the hottest topics out there, Heat Stress.  She will review the OSHA National Emphasis Program (NEP) criteria and best practices employers can take to mitigate heat stress related issues.  The NEP focusses on workplaces for general industry, maritime, construction, or agriculture operations alleging hazardous exposures to heat, both indoors and outdoors.
